Format zip with system files ?

Is there any way to format a zip disk with system files like you can with a floppy? I have no floppy drive and want to be able to flash bios from a boot disc. .

I have a cd burner but it seems the only way to make a bootable cd is to have a floppy for emulation. I have both Nero & EZ CD Creator 5.
