For gaming, I'd use the Audigy... Also, I would NOT use the install cd from Creative, but rather download the latest drivers from the web. My $0.02....

if your going out to an external system - would not really matter.

Well, the Audigy has a digital out, I rather doubt that the Monster Sound does... Also, generally, Creative's cards have better i/o options.
