Okay now my problem, i tried playing metal gear solid, but all i got was the menu screen and when the game finally loaded, w/o the intro, it was sooooooooo choppy. At first I thought it was the game, so I said okay for get about this. Then I tried monkey island 4, and the same thing, but this time, all I get is a black screen and if i'm lucky I get something on the screen. I play ut and diablo2 with no problems, and I use glide for both ut and diablo2, but for mgs and mi4 I used direct x and for mi4 opengl. Please help.

3Dfx cards are best suited to games running in Glide.
If MGS and MI4 don't have a Glide opiton, then you may well have to either suffer with the poor performance, not play the games at all, or change your video card.
Voodoo cards have never had stunning performance in D3D (but I think the later cards are getting better at it).
