games not working?
This is a discussion about games not working? in the Windows Hardware category; I just installed WinXP 2465 over win2k pro and I wen't to play diablo2 and it gets past the intro movies and its just black even after changing my drivers for my gts2 to 11. 01 then 12. 00 still doesnt seem to work.

I also read in the whistler faq on the main page of this site that you can't install it over win2k? does that mean i should do a clean install?

Do a clean install. It just seems to work better that way for all M$'s products.
I got the same pproblem too with Diablo2:(......i did a clean install with winxp 2465, using det 6.50 and dx8....anyone know whats the problem is??

The 12.00 digitally signed ones are working fine for me. Try those.
I know in HL if I use D3D, I will have a black screen, so I have to use Open GL for it. I dont know if that will help with Diablo 2, but you never know.
