Gamespy Arcade just locks up with rc1
This is a discussion about Gamespy Arcade just locks up with rc1 in the Windows Games category; Gamespy arcade worked perfectly untill i installed winxp rc1. when i try to launch or join a server it just hangs. . . All the games i use with gamespy arcade work just fine on their own. wtf? anyone else got this problem? i've tried compatibility mode, uninstalling and reinstalling the games and gamespy arcade.

i don't want to go back to 2000, XP finally got rid of my sb live/dual processor sound issues...
everything else is perfect...

Switch off all sound in the program (its in the options somewhere) and it works.

hhmmmm, locks up when i do that too...
my sblive finally sounds perfect but sound is jacking up gamespy?
i'm going to disable my sound (remove the card) and see if i can mute all sounds then in gamespy arcade.
