GeForce4 T14200 128 MB is what I would go for. It is only a few dollars more than what you are getting for the GeForce 3, plus, the 4400 isn't all that much more exciting.

Ti4200 with 128MB, definately. I have the Ti4600, and it kicks a$$.

I too have a 4600, but that´s only because I had the cash at hand

I think you´d be better of with the 128MB GF4Ti4200. Get some decent cooling for that card and overclock it as high as possible. You might reach the performance of a 4600 that way.

Id go for the Ti4200 64MB, for the following reasons
1. No game currently needs more than 64MB gfx memory to run, i even read that UT2003 will only need ~40MB and if you check out those comparasons on Anand youll see that the 128MB is slower (Mostly because of reason 2)

2. The memory on the 128MB is clocked slower than the 64MB, so in games that dont use 128MB (ie..all of them ) youll lose fps.

3. The Ti4200 is cheaper

4. By the time games come out that actually need more than 64MB i think we are gonna need cards more powerful than a Ti4200 anyway.

Course you lose a small amount of bragging rights but its a better card in my opinion

Just my 2p

I like the 4200 w/128 because they can usually be clocked up the performance of the 4600 without the added cost (and as I stated before, I like my 4600) and you are going to see some heavy-duty games coming in where the extra memory will be useful.
