GeForce2 MX200

This is a discussion about GeForce2 MX200 in the Windows Hardware category; Biggest Piece of sh*t card. Even with my new setup I only get 1320 3dmarks. Still yet to clock it up tho. Still proberly won't break 2000 3dmarks. .

Yeah the GF2MX is quite old and with your setup your video card is the bottleneck. Get yourself a good GF4 Ti4200 or Radeon 9500. If you have the money you can get the higher models.

OP
I intend to upgrade my graphics hardware. Also being an MX200 doesn't help at all

Yeah MX200 is the SDRAM model with a 64-bit bus. The MX400 or normal MX would be a better choice.

Yeah. To hell with the MX200. Heck even a GeForce2 Pro (now badged GeForce2 Titanium) will be just about as value priced nowadays, if you can find one. Or a MX400 w/ 64MB VRAM if you're really tight on cash. But if you can afford it go for the GF4 Ti4200.

As far as gaming goes, I've found a GF2 MX200 to be on par with a Voodoo 3 3000...which is pretty bad nowadays.
