"generic video driver"?
This is a discussion about "generic video driver"? in the Windows Hardware category; This is related to the old sims 2 won't play because it says there are no direct x 9. 0 compatible bla bla bla, so I checked my system specs and it says n/a for everything. At the bottom it says I'm using the generic video driver.

Does this really mean I don't have a graphics card at all?
I'm running ubuntu next to windows, but only windows gives a "flickering" effect when I scroll or move a window (kinda like old movies, like the display can't keep up with the action). Ubuntu works fine..

I'm on limited bandwidth and I just wasted it all on downloading drivers and such that apparantly don't work..

Could someone please help me? It's pretty annoying..

Thank you!
