I got it to work. I just played it earlier today. I just install it normally. Nothing else. I don't know why you are having a problem though.
OP
It keeps giving me that invalid win32 application error i tried all compatibility modes...ne other suggestions ne one?
You need to get the update for Need for speed, that fixes the win32 not valid thing, (electronicarts.com or something has em) or try some of the nfs car websites, they have the patches or links
I have this problem too...but I get a small "Abort Message" box that says "AMF=16 platform.c(310)"...this doesn't make any sense as I get this after applying the patch...anyways, does anyone know what to do? I am using version 2600 of winxp with a soundblaster live sound card and a voodoo3 3000 video card but the error report doesn't say anything about either item causing problems...
Jaehend are you using thoses so called WinXP custom Voodoo3 drivers?.
I for one am using the latest dets for win xp and nfs high stakes run great on winxp pro. my video car dis a nvidia geforce 2 mx 400

That's because the crack you are using was made before Windows 2000 was released and was only made to work with Windows 95/98/ME. If you don't use a crack it most likely will work just fine. Ofcource if you don't own a legit copy of High Stakes then you have a problem.
