Gimp for windows basic config question
This is a discussion about Gimp for windows basic config question in the Windows Software category; I am trying to combine several very large (4+ MB) files using the gimp. Decompressed, these files are pushing 100 MB. I have 300+ MB of free memory but the gimp won't even use half of it. It insists on using it's swap space instead.

It insists on using it's swap space instead. So it's taking minutes just to move one layer to try to line it up on another layer. Can I specify the maximum amount of memory to use?
There are two settings (Maximum Image Size and tile size) but I'm not sure what these are refering to. Are these what I am looking for?
