recently i just bought a new cicero computer and bought a dvd writer seperatly. well just today after i got the drive in and turned on my computer, the computer did not only not recognize my dvd writer but also the d: drive which is my cd/rw drive:(

are all case wiring similiar? i plugged in 2 plugs that fit the holes in the dvd drive and the little cord that goes to my sound card.

my computer didnt come with a manual on installing new hardware so i kindov winged it; anyone have any suggestions for me?

what plugs go into the dvd drive exactly? why did i lose my cd/rw drive during the proccess?

I would check the jumpers on the drives. One should be the master and the other should be on secondary. You could also put both to cable select.

Lastly you could check the manufacturers website for support.
