Has anybody been able to install Whistler with the Promise Fasstrak 66 card? All other os's install just fine but Whistler just hangs after it says "Starting Windows Whistler" during the text based portion of setup. The keyboard lights then it just sits there. I have never let it sit there longer than 5 or so minutes but it shouldnt take THAT long.
 
I ended up having boot from a SCSI 4.5gigger to get things going. Its not the worst thing in the world but It would be nice to boot off the faster raid setup than the 3yo scsi drive. Whistler DOES NOT see the raid controller correctly and there are no drives from it available until the driver is installed, even if I have used the F6 option previously during the text based setup. It works wonderfully though afterwards.
 
Oh well guess Im gonna order a 9.1 gig Fujitsu 10k spin (cause its quiet) and call it a day.
 
I do want to move the raid to the other machine when I go SCSI raid in mine so if someone can help me boot from the Fasstrak controller that would be awesome!
