Half Life Technical Problem, PLEASE HELP!

I tried to install half life 1 but when I clicked on the install button on the autoplay menu nothing happened.
I just bought a sweet laptop and I wanted to play half life 1 before I went out and played half life 2. I tried to install half life 1 but when I clicked on the install button on the autoplay menu nothing happened. Then I went into the the cd and clicked on the setup and it still did nothing. Please help me and tell me what I'm doing wrong.
