Handy Application

This is a discussion about Handy Application in the Windows Software category; I found this after getting a link to the same site for a inf creator. It's a directory listing creator (much like this awesome little TreePrint util I used to use) that not only creates listings but also has a listing manager that can search the created txt files for file/directory names listed during the scan.

Check it out, it's free.

Interesting... DOS (the same commands are replicated in the NT Command Prompt) has tools that can be pretty much made to do the same thing but this would probably be a little more convenient.

OP
Yeah, I know about them but you have to check out the environment this thing provides. It's pretty nifty.

another very nice freeware tool for this is Cathy from http://rvas.webzdarma.cz/

i also use it to speed up searches of my HD, it comes with a command line version that u can easily setup as a Scheduled Task to index all ur HDs daily, and it does it fast. after that using cathy to search the HDs/CDs is lightening fast.
