Heavy Gear 2

From my NT Game Compatibility List:

ME:
Heavy Gear 2
Download the Windows 2000 Application Compatibility toolkit from here: http://msdn.microsoft.com/compatibility/
Use QfixApp on Heavy Gear 2.exe and click "Win95VersionLie.dll"
Click the "Advanced" tab. Then click "Create attributes file".
Then go to the AppPatch folder in the Windows folder and click on Heavy Gear 2.reg
Now all you have to do is run the game like normal from the Shortcut!
Reinstall this .reg if you reinstall windows!

I had the same problems with heavy gear 2 in win2k. Seems to be a common trend with older activision games in general.

I recently got hooked on mechwarrior 4. If you haven't tried it, pick up a copy. Chances are that you will like it since u like HG2.

Yeah..I tried that one also didn't work for me. But I REALLY wanted to play this game, so I went searching for the othe alternative. I don't know why the Qfix didn't work. But it runs fine now. Thanks.

As far as MW4 goes..I haven't tried it yet..But I think I will pick it up. I enjoyed the previous versions.

I've got no reg file to use. I don't know if it's because I'm using "Application Compatibility toolkit v3" or not.

Can someone help.
