Help 1 of 3 User Accounts have 'lost' files
This is a discussion about Help 1 of 3 User Accounts have 'lost' files in the Everything New Technology category; The document files on one User Account have seemingly disappeared. We use Windows XP and have an account for mom, dad and daughter. The daughter does a lot of IM and downloads and it is only her account that has been affected.
The document files on one User Account have seemingly disappeared. We use Windows XP and have an account for mom, dad and daughter. The daughter does a lot of IM and downloads and it is only her account that has been affected. We’ve run McAfee virus and fire wall, as well as Ad-aware and Spybot.
We think these files are still there because the disc capacity has not changed – HOW DO WE GET THEM BACK?

Look in C:\Documents and Settings and see if a new profile directory has been set up. Maybe her existing ac got corrupted and when she logged in she got a new profile?!
