help!!!!

This is a discussion about help!!!! in the Legacy OS category; i uninstalled norton antivirus from my home pc, which has win98SE on it. uninstall went fine. but i went to reboot & nothing!!! it just hangs there. i tried a boot-up disk & put norton cd back in. then it did a scan on every file, which took about 10 hours.

Does Windows try to load at all? Does the Win9x Splash screen come up?
Can you press F8 and go to Command Prompt only?
