hi. my computer just crashed. i have a sony vaio and i havent turned off my computer in about 6 months.. i only put my computer in sleep mode for the past 6 months.. so my computer didnt get a chance to save my settings.. I lost all of my files on my D drive from the past 6 months (i have an entire semester worth of work that i lost) and if i dont recover these files i will have to take this class all over again. i already tried PC Inspector File Recovery with no success. is they any way to recover my files? i am a college student that has no money so i cant afford to spend any money on an expensive program. is there a free solution to my problem?? please somebody HELP!

all of the D drive files from the last time i shut down my computer (6 months ago) are there. but all the files i saved on my computer since are gone. my C drive is perfectly fine.. i dont have any recent restore points because i havent turned off my computer in the past 6 months (my last restore point is from the last time i shut down). there was no blue screen.. some friends went into my room and didnt shut off my computer properly.. that is what caused this problem. does this help?
Anyone have software for Creative Webcam PD 1100
My be the files are on the hard disk but a different place.
Use the Start, Search facility to see if they been saved elsewhere eg you logged in as a different user and files have been saved to a different location. A crash or reboot should not affect files saved to disk. A system restore is no good as that affects program files only not data files.

IMHO Active@ undelete can really help you. It's restore methods are great and it never ever failed me before. I suppose you can rely on it. Indeed.
