Help FF7 sound not working right!

This is a discussion about Help FF7 sound not working right! in the Windows Games category; I'm using Windows XP media center. . . anyway the music in the background works and the movie sound, but there are no sound effects like slashing and exploding stuff?? no spell sound either?? whats wronnggg??/?.
