Help HElp!! Windows XP Pro Hotfix

This is a discussion about Help HElp!! Windows XP Pro Hotfix in the Everything New Technology category; I'm upgrading my computer tomorrow, new CPU, motherboard and HDD. I want to do a complete reinstall of XP Pro from scratch on my new drive. What I don't want to do is spend hours downloading the updates for XP and IE6 that I've already got on my current machine.

I'm upgrading my computer tomorrow, new CPU, motherboard and HDD. I want to do a complete reinstall of XP Pro from scratch on my new drive. What I don't want to do is spend hours downloading the updates for XP and IE6 that I've already got on my current machine. Is there a way of copying the updates that I have already downloaded. Are they saved somewhere on my harddrive?

Thanks inadvance

Do you use Ghost copy? If so just make a copy of your existing harddrive and restore after the hardware upgrade. This will save your time in re-installing everything.
