HELP!!! Hercules GeFORCE 2 MX is under PCI MODE!??

It is supposed to be AGP. It says this under the driver properties. I have Windows XP Professional, ASUS A7V-E and AMD ATHLON. I also notice a decrease in frames per second in games. This has to do with it in PCI mode.

Does anybody have a solution?

Thanks a lot!!

Could you explain a little more what you mean, or maybe post a pic? AGP is actually considered a PCI slot by Windows so I don't know if that's what you mean.

I've seen this before, but only on Win2k if you forget to install the VIA chipset drivers. I've never known it to occur in WinXP as this has drivers built in.

As for where you see it, go to the Display control panel -> Settings -> Advanced -> GeForce2 (the nvidia tab) and under bus type it'll say if it's using AGP, PCI or AGP in PCI mode. If you see "AGP (PCI mode)" then something's not right.

Make sure you have your AGP apeture setting set to a decent level (32mb and up). If its too low you disable AGP.
