Help! I want 2 names on my NT server. Or another way of solv

OK, so here's the problem: We have our main file server called JON01S. It was our first ever server that started out life as a 486 and was then upgraded to a Pentium Pro. I now have a lovely new server which is a dual processor PIII 800 but want the name to be BUKNT001 to fit in with our naming convention.

We have our main file server called JON01S. It was our first ever server that started out life as a 486 and was then upgraded to a Pentium Pro.

I now have a lovely new server which is a dual processor PIII 800 but want the name to be BUKNT001 to fit in with our naming convention.

In the old server we have various shares across various drives (ie; \\jon01s\marketng) and in the new one we have one big Ultra160 37Gb drive.

I want to transfer the data from one machine to the other as smoothly as possible. Bear in mind that we have around 250 internal users and 80 external ones - we only see the external ones once every blue moon.

Is there any way that I can have a shared area on the new server called \\buknt001\marketng BUT, any machine looking for \\jon01s\marketng will also be directed to this area?

From this you should get a fair idea of what I'm after, so if anyone has any suggestions for other ways around the problem, please let me know!

Thanks,

Gav
