Hi,

I'm working a few month with W2000 prof. now.
My start was not to good so my basic config of 2000 is a mess at the moment.

What i want:
1. I want a clean set up of Win 2000 and start all over again. (is it possible to have a shadow version running)
So I can leave my current version as it is to and will not risque loss of data and settings

An other possibilty is a dual boot with XP. Is this possible if it is how can I do this. (because of the kids and some games)

THANKS A LOT

Albert

I have dual booting XP's and I'm sure it can be done with w2000 too. Just install a fresh copy of w2000 on a partition that has no operating systems on it. You will then have 2 windows 2000 in your boot menu, but you can edit the boot.ini and rename that.

My case:
2x maxtor 40GB

Disk1
C: 10GB Primary XP
F: 28GB Secondary XP

Disk2
E: 2GB windows Me
G: 36GB

D: Cdrom
H: Cdrw

I could install another copy of xp's or windows 2000 on the G: partition.

BTW all partitions are FAT32.

I would advise you not to istall on the same partition where you allready have windows2000 instead use any other free partition.
