Help please my computer restarts every time i have my usb 2 on and using my cd r

hello all i am new here and i got a problem with something, i installed a new usb2. 0 card and everything went fine until i noticed a problem. when i have my usb on and when i try to use my cdrom or CD-RW it reboots itself and sometimes i see a blue screen.

hello all i am new here and i got a problem with something, i installed a new usb2.0 card and everything went fine until i noticed a problem. when i have my usb on and when i try to use my cdrom or CD-RW it reboots itself and sometimes i see a blue screen. and i know that is not good news. once it restarts it gives me this error:

hi
 
try changing the IRQ for USB2 (device).
look for lates drivers.
look at the microsoft compatible list for any compatible errors with windows and the device.

and yeah.. what OS you running?
sounds to me your running windnows 98 or something.
try up[censored] drivers first.

looks more like XP to me now..
sounds like a driver issue..
or a compatible issue..

well thanks for the replies the system i am running is this:
 
 
windows xp pro SP2
 
how do i know if it is a compatible issue??? is there a way i can find that out on my computer???
 
and if it is the drivers...do u mean the windows usb2 drivers or the usb2 card driver????
 
can u guys help me on this

download and install your motherboard drivers. the usb. via4in1 or something else. depends on your motherboard brand.
and install the latest drivers for your USB2 card.
