help removing a virtual cd drive
I should have done this a long time ago. I had a family member use a version of Deamon tools to create a virtual cdrom drive on my PC to allow a game to be played my mult users in a home network. In doing so he bypassed my actual cd/dvd/rw drive.

In doing so he bypassed my actual cd/dvd/rw drive. He did not bother to remove this configuration when done and it was some time later when I discovered there was a problem with the drive, it wasn't something I use often. After spending a great deal of time and energy trying to figure out the reason my drive wasn't working, my son tells me that his cousin created this virtual drive and that might be the problem. Argh! In any case, this all happened back in 2009.
I am running XP media edition. The computer recognizes the drive under My Computer and even shows what disk is in the drive but will not run it. The drive will light up when you put a disk in but will not actually run the software.
Can someone help me reset this path so my processor will read the drive?
Thanks
