HELP - Twinsen's Odyssey crashes on XP Home Edition
I recently installed the patch and everything was working fine. I was merrily playing my game when, after defeating Tralu in the cave were the lighthouse man Raph was kept prisoner, there came a scene with Zoe.

I was merrily playing my game when, after defeating Tralu in the cave were the lighthouse man Raph was kept prisoner, there came a scene with Zoe. Twinsen leads her towards the exit, and BANG... game crashes. Note: rain is heard for about one and a half seconds before the crash. I've tried nearly everything. Please help me to solve this inexorably infuriatingly frustrating problem!

I have a trouble shooting page at http://www.geocities.com/e_swensen It might help you out a little. Did you install Funny Frog's Patch, is that what you are referring to?
Used to have LBA2, but my dog chewed up the cd...So recently downloaded it from "the-underdogs". (I guess they finally released the game, eh). Well aware that I would have problems running this on XP Home, I went in search of a patch. I found one by FunnFrog / Funnyfrog. That sorted out the scrambled screen - and I was all psyched up for the best gameplay in a looooong time. And immediately after the game begins, where Twinsen is sent out in the rain by his wife for medicine (if I remember correctly), the game crashes and the computer restarts. Have tried different compatibility modes, tried running it from the (pseudo)dos-prompt, and I have tried what always seems to work:DOSBOX, several times over. But nothing works---or rather, I can't get it to work. If there is a way, I would be ever thankful in anticipation ...Thank you...
