Help with .avi audio

What are some audio codecs i can get that would play sound on some divx files i have? I have the Radium mp3 codec and it works fine, but i have some avi's that im not gettin any sound from and its showing in the properties that it has sound cuz its showing the audio length and bitrate

I have one of those too...plays w/o sound. Someone recommended a "Nimo Codec Pack" or something...didn't try it yet.

If it's done in DivX then usually getting the latest version of DivX cures the prob for me. Failing that, get yourself a copy of AVI Info or Movie Type FInder to check which codec is being used. I've found AVI Info the most useful, as it helps to identify obscure non-DivX avi codecs as well.

Some .avi would play without sound or audio. This is caused by using a later divx encoder to play an file encoded using an ealier version of divx. Searching through the Divx websites will give you the solution.

eh? I've never had any probs with watching older DivX files with a newer version of DivX.
