Help with formatting my hard drive

This is a discussion about Help with formatting my hard drive in the Windows Hardware category; Can someone help me please I am using Windows XP and I lost my installation CD's Is there any way to reformat my hard drive with out using the CD? Thank you for your help

You can format it all you want but you'll need an OS to put on it.
 
Contact the manufacturer of your computer for a replacement XP CD.

I'm sorry i wasent clear on my post. I have Windows 98 to install but I cant seem to reformat the hard drive that allready has Windows xp installed on it and I dont have the XP installation disk

Just use the boot disk, run fdisk, and delete the "non-MS" partition.
 
or download the DOS Ultimate Boot CD which has plenty of format/partitioning tools on it.
