Help with memory

This is a discussion about Help with memory in the Everything New Technology category; I have a pentium d 930 processor with two 512 ddr2-667 at 333mhz memory. Now what would be the best memory to get with the pentium d 930 and also can i mix my 333mhz memory with another different mhz memory.

I want to upgrade my Ram without wasting my money and plus using it to its best effiency. I would greatly appreciate your respone... THx

Well, you might be wasting your money if you try to use different types of RAM. A lot of times, adding RAM of a different speed can make the other RAM not function properly. You are best off either adding more RAM of the same type, or completely replacing all of the RAM.
 
One quick solution would be to buy two sticks of 1 GB RAM at a higher MHz and replace the other two stick; expensive, but it works. And if you are feeling generous, you could ship the other 2 sticks of 512 RAM to me... eh, it was worth a try.
