Hercules Fortissimo II
Hi, i've just got winxp and i'm having severe problems with the aforementioned soundcard in winxp. Problems include: Front speakers only Massive sound problems during system strain Distortion of sound I'm running the drivers for win2k that came on the CD (official driverS) on WinXP RC1 (Built 2505).

Problems include:
Front speakers only
Massive sound problems during system strain
Distortion of sound
I'm running the drivers for win2k that came on the CD (official driverS) on WinXP RC1 (Built 2505).
Please if anyone could suggest any fixes i'd be very grateful. I'm very impressed by XP atm, everything runs faster or just as fast with only the soundcard problem now.
Some things i've thought of: installing the yamaha reference driver.
installing some other driver.
umm thats the end of the suggestions

others have mentioned using different drivers with that card to get it to work better. i dont have one so i cant help you, but you will find answers on hercules' forum.

Ok try http://www.terratec.net/ttus/ now you want the dmx xfire 1024. You will get 4 speakers. I only tried one game and it worked great. Let me know it you need more help.
