Hercules Gamesurround Muse XL - 4 Speaker - How?
Hi! I'm running Windows2000 Pro and after upgrading my PC to an Athlon XP 1800+ based on an VIA KT266A Mainboard (Gigabyte 7VTXE+) my Creative Soundblaster didn't work anymore. . . So I bought the Hercules Gamesurround Muse XL which runs fine except for the 4 Speaker output.

I'm running Windows2000 Pro and after upgrading my PC to an Athlon XP 1800+ based on an VIA KT266A Mainboard (Gigabyte 7VTXE+) my Creative Soundblaster didn't work anymore... So I bought the Hercules Gamesurround Muse XL which runs fine except for the 4 Speaker output... It is really weird... When I run the Hercules EAX-Demo the output is 4 Speaker, also if I use their crappy MP3 Player... But when I use Winamp, WMP, PowerDVD and so on only the 2 Front-Speaker give a sound... I activated 4 Speaker Output in the Mixer and also activated Quadrophonic under "Sound and Multimedia"... When I run Windows98 (which I have on an other partition) everything works. So their must be a problem with Windows 2000. Since I can't find my problem in any FAQ or Forum I'm hoping you might know an answer... Thanks a lot, Primal
