This is a discussion about Hiding IP in the Windows Security category; Hi guys, im new in here Im playing a MP game, now, I know that people who own the server and got rcon can check my ip. now, I dont want the owners will know where im from, they can check it if they got my IP.

Im playing a MP game, now, I know that people who own the server and got rcon can check my ip. now, I dont want the owners will know where im from, they can check it if they got my IP. is there any way to Hide my ip or to change it somehow that it will look like im from another country?

Nope, you other systems NEED to know your IP to able to exchange data over the data. Its like sending letters to someone and not supplying a return address and expecting an answer!
the only way to hide a public IP address is to use NAT (Network Address Translation) using ADSL so you get a private IP address
but your router gets a public IP which is still visible.

I see. and there is no other way to change the ip so it will look im fron other country?
Ive also heard something about proxy, though, I have no idea what proxy means.

A public proxy server would be way to slow to play a MP game.
and honestly if your just gaming you have no need to hide your IP...
