Willard, from when I saw that as a youngster also, iirc, in 1971 or so, was pretty damn good! It even has a sequel called "BEN & HIS ARMY OF RATS" which was pretty ok too...

I think it only a remake of the 1972 Movie called Willard(Willard is the name of the rat).

Well I decided to watch THe Ring last night.
 
Did not sleep well after that. Pretty freaky movie.
