How do I check how much RAM is actually there?
I'd prefer if there was some DOS proggy or something that I could use to check & see exactly how much RAM this thing has. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. .

I think you are looking for MEM command.
The memory tested at startup is the base & extended memory - not RAM.
I will try the mem command, thanks. I should hav thought of that but it's been awhile since I really used DOS.
