How do I do a "clean" install for my new sound car
This is a discussion about How do I do a "clean" install for my new sound car in the Windows Hardware category; I will be getting a SB Audigy w/1394 OEM soon. I currently have the original SB Live (full retail) installed. Should I re-install Windows XP Pro? Or is there a clean way of installing my new sound card? If yes, how do I remove my old sound drivers, clean and properly?.

If you installed AudioHQ and other SB Live accessories remove them first.
SB Live drivers are easily uninstalled by removing the hardware device in Device Manager, in fact removing the sb live accessories may remove the drivers for you too. Do this before shutting off the PC and yanking out the Live and putting the Audigy in.
