Using an older restore point

OP
OK. My bad. I use Windows 2000 not Windows XP.
My fault for not looking for the area the post was in.
Then to be honest I don't know.
You may try the system recovery which would restore it back to the original files, but I'm not sure you can remove it, unless you have a backup of your system before you installed MP9

I don't think you can without going in and manually deleting a bunch of stuff and deleting the regsitry entries. I would be afraid that windows meshes too closely with it and would not work properly afterwards.
I'm running Xp Pro at the time, so I dunno if this would work, but have you tried using "add/remove programs" then windows components?
