how to unpartition HDD
This is a discussion about how to unpartition HDD in the Windows Hardware category; Hey, I am running XPpro and when I turned my computer on it would get to the loading screen ofwindows XP then a blue screen would flash up and the computer would restart and continue to do this. Was adv that windows files were corrupt and to format HDD and reinstall windows.

Was adv that windows files were corrupt and to format HDD and reinstall windows. I have done this but it has created a 2GB partition (C: ) of my 40GB HDD leaving 38GB (E: ). I don't want my HDD partitioned how do you unpartition your HDD. Thankyou, Donna

I have experienced so much performence problems when used partistion magic and windows XP, that i don't dare to even touch my Primary partition once it's there.
Question: Did you actually boot from Windows XP CD to install windows?
Suggestion: if the size of primary partition is messed up and you want to change it, and also you prefer to have least probelms, do yourself a favour and reinstall windows XP. this time boot from the CD and partition your HDD Using Windows XP CD.
