how to use direct cd with XP?
This is a discussion about how to use direct cd with XP? in the Windows Hardware category; have installed 2495, and have same old probs on direct cd. I like burning using it, but it doesnt work at all. Im using easy cd creator 5, any ideas? ps i also installed latest via 4. 32 drivers and it keeps saying new hardware found, via ide, but where do i point it to to install?.

i dont think there is a way to make it work in XP, looks like you will have to wait for a patch to come out for it.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought XP already had some kind of DirectCD type functionality built in?
(Just going on what I've read, still waiting for MS to ship the preview disks!)

it has built in cd-burning functions very limited ones at that but it doesnt have support for burning UDF formatted disks that work with directCD.
