HP 970cxi prints a test page when i print anything
This is a discussion about HP 970cxi prints a test page when i print anything in the Windows Hardware category; I'm running winxp pro build 2600. My hp 970cxi is connected through USB. Almost everytime i print something the printers prints a testpage also. I've looked at all the printer options, but i couldn't find anything to disable that.

Almost everytime i print something the printers prints a testpage also. I've looked at all the printer options, but i couldn't find anything to disable that. I'm using the default winxp drivers.

Could it be that you have the banner feature enabled ?

I went through all my printer preferences and coulnd't find anything like that.

It might be called separator page, look at
[printers] HP970- Properties - Advanced - Separator Page
--Should be empty
or...
[printers] HP970- Properties - Printing Preferences - enable banner printing
--Should be unticked
