I bought a HP CD-Writer model 9310+ back in July when the model was brand new. The software they sent with THIS model didn't even work with W2K. If you go to their website it says I have to pay them $9.95 and they will send me the update version of Direct CD which according to them works in W2K.
However I think that Direct CD and that other crappy app that came with this CD Writer are garbage and I use the latest version of Nero instead, which I think is a much better program.
