I read on ntcompatible that 5200c works with build 2195. What about it?

Dont know about your specific error message
but I am running w2k final with the 5200c.
My 5200c works fine on USB port with no hp drivers installed, hp original software works but does not see w2k as being usb ready so installs parrell port software.
It still worked with the scanner on the usb
port however it just loads unneccasary software (parrell port monitor).
The scanner will not work on the USB port if you have a VIA appolo pro chipset! Also if you trying to install the scanner on the parrell port make sure it is configured as a
ECP port in the BIOS.
