HP Scanjet 5200CXI (USB) under XP

This is a discussion about HP Scanjet 5200CXI (USB) under XP in the Windows Hardware category; For folks who have HP scanjet 5200CXI using USB connection under windows XP: I have not been successful with my scanner to work with Windows XP. I only get the usb device controller to detect my scanner but don't know what it is as unknown device.

For folks who have HP scanjet 5200CXI using USB connection under windows XP:

I have not been successful with my scanner to work with Windows XP. I only get the usb device controller to detect my scanner but don't know what it is as unknown device.

There is a new driver from HP. The url is:

http://www.hp.com/cposupport/scanners/software/sj661en.exe.html

I continue to have the problem with this file. My problem is that the setup will not complete correctly. The error was said "Fatal error. Setup is unable to continue." Any of you experience the same thing?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
