Starcraft works prefectly on both computer, but not on the hp, the hp won't let it connected to the internet (so no Bnet on hp, but works fine on emachine)
both runs the internet from the same hub, I can't for the life of me find the problem. I even check firewall.
HP=sp2 pro xp
emachine=s1 xp

You said firewall. What firewall? The built-in one in XP SP2 or a 3rd party one?

I have seen sometimes Windows Firewall will block/ask about connection(s), even when you have installed 3rd party firewall.
In ZoneAlarm (Pro), there is option to disable Windows Firewall.
I did not see option of that kind in my Sygate Personal Firewall Pro.

Or, ye could temperarily disable the firewalls and see if you can get through. If ye can, and since you have sygate's firewall, disable sp2's "firewall" and see what happens.

woot woot, it working. anothe problem though, it says my cd key is ment for another game. How i put it for starcraft, could it be bcause starcraft is a newer version then my broodwar???
Do you have two copies of said game? One for each machine?
OP
yeah i got too copies. but one of them works>.< not the other one grrr
Installed with two seperate keys? If I remember righ, there are is a key for starcraft and a key for brood wars. So, you'd need 2 copies of each, for a total of 4 different keys.
But, since games are not my forte, I'll be asking these odd questions like this.

my cop of brood war never came with a cdkey. It's an old copy. Maybe, thats the reason it doesn't work?
To tell you the truth, I thought blizzard had cd keys for everything. Including add-ons. Perhaps some of the old timers here in this forum could pop in..........
My own Brood War expansion disc does not have a cd key
OP
yeah, see, same with mine. My brood war has no cdkey either. So whats up with my starcraft cd key?? >.<
Does Starcraft check CD keys online? If so it's possibly that someone else used a keygen and is using your key.
