Everything is hooked up properly, it is on and reciving information, just not sending it. on my wireless router(linksys) it shows full bars.
i borrowed a router from a friend, and it worked fine,
what could it possibly be besides how to install the drivers?(manualy, I dont have a disk)

Did you follow the troubleshooting guide in the users manual?
It may be helpful if you describe what you did so far and what setup you are trying to achieve, usb or ethernet? Sounds like usb?
Did you try the reset button?

bypass the router to check the modem. use ethernet. the motorola surfboards only need the disk if you're using usb and you only need usb if you're using windows 98 or later or ethernet card is not working. go to start menu, run, type in cmd, type in ipconfig/renew to renew the ip adress. check internet connection.
windows vista is a little more complicated
is it cable internet or dial up?
if it's cable and you're using internet explorer, go in tools and make sure that it's not trying to dial a connection, auto detect proxy server.
