This is a discussion about I need some help and bad. in the Windows Hardware category; I have a computer that keeps getting stuck in the windows xp splash screen, it keeps going back and forth between the windows xp screen and the Dell screen, and back again. I originally thought it might be a windows problem, but now it is telling me that It cannot find the HD.

Check cable connections and run a chkdsk on disk as well once XP is loaded.
