ICQ in WIN XP

This is a discussion about ICQ in WIN XP in the Windows Software category; Just got XP. Why won't ICQ run in user mode. . . I can get to run under admin rights. I have tried 2 diff. versions. I don't want to turn my daughter lose as an admin. .

ICQ has to be setup under and admin account then when in the user account you should be able to setup that user with an account. OR take off simple file sharing and give that user full access to your program files\icq folder

Try Miranda ICQ. It still has a few bugs, but is tiny and much faster!
