ICS with 2 gateways on network
This is a discussion about ICS with 2 gateways on network in the Windows Networking category; I'm trying to add another gateway (with its own DSL connection) to a network that already has one gateway connected to the internet using DSL using Win2k Pro. The problem is that win2k doesn't allow me to use any dummy IP other than 192.

The problem is that win2k doesn't allow me to use any dummy IP other than 192.168.0.1 for the gateway and since the old gateway is already using that, I can't enable internet sharing for the new machine.
I don't want to use both gateways at the same time, each of them will have its own set of PCs that use it.
Any help will be most appreciated!

Can you cancle the intergrated Internet Sharing from within Windows and enable some sort of proxy server or something like that?
Or am I even picking up what you are trying to do?
Hope this helps.

You need a NAT router to do that sort of thing - ICS has only one setting and won't allow a change. There is a software router called Winroute that is pretty good. (www.winroute.com)

Thanks alot for your help. I tried winroute and so far it seems to be working perfectly.
