IE 5.5 is old version bundled in WinME?

This is a discussion about IE 5.5 is old version bundled in WinME? in the Legacy OS category; Version bundled with ME is 5. 50. 4134. 0100 the one I downloaded from MS's site is 5. 50. 4522. 1800 In any case IE works better now and is its response is much more snappy. System appears more stable too.

Version bundled with ME is 5.50.4134.0100
the one I downloaded from MS's site is 5.50.4522.1800
In any case IE works better now and is its response is much more snappy. System appears more stable too.

I am not sure if the final version of Windows ME included the final BETA of IE 5.5.

This is very simple kiddies: Windows ME came with IE 5.5 final while the latest version you can download is IE 5.5 SP1, hence the version difference.

actually the version of ie in win me is a beta but that is what they had when winme went gold so that is what it got
