ie down boy, down...
Hi Having just upgraded to ADSL (I live in the UK and only now has the price come down to a reasonable level) I'm finding that ie has a very annoying habit. Example; I'm surfing the net, I have two ie windows open, I'm loading a page in one and have selected the other to read.
Hi
Having just upgraded to ADSL (I live in the UK and only now has the price come down to a reasonable level) I'm finding that ie has a very annoying habit.
Example;
I'm surfing the net, I have two ie windows open, I'm loading a page in one and have selected the other to read. The loading page keeps popping to the front as if its trying to say read me I've almost loaded and it’s getting very irritating.
Do I just have to live with this or can it be stopped?
Thanks

There's a setting somewhere that handles this I think - you can change it with TweakUI - something about applications stealing focus, IIRC. However, some web sites are specifically designed to do this - some javascript code, or whatever. Personally, I think web designers who do this ought to be hung, drawn, & quartered!
No need for tweak UI,
it happens depending on the web site, if it has refresh command on it, that this thing is driving you nuts. You just have to live with it. I do.
BTW it ain't UK specific. It happens everywhere since the IE code is the same everywhere. You might wanna check the latest patches for IE, i haven't bothered.
