IE6 final problem
This is a discussion about IE6 final problem in the Windows Software category; Hi, Last night i installed IE6 final (6. 0. 2600. 000) on top of IE55/sp2. Almost everything looks running ok except a weird problem i never met before. When i try to download directly from an HTTP or FTP site using IE6, i get a download window asking to OPEN or SAVE this kind of file.
Hi,
Last night i installed IE6 final (6.0.2600.000) on top of IE55/sp2. Almost everything looks running ok except a weird problem i never met before.
When i try to download directly from an HTTP or FTP site using IE6, i get a download window asking to "OPEN" or "SAVE" this kind of file. I know this window is common but i cannot uncheck the "Always ask before opening this kind...". Even unchecking this box, next time the dialog ask box fires again.
I always have unchecked the "Confirm open after download" checkbox on "Folder Options" - "File types", at least for common extensions (.ZIP etc)
The strange thing is that on some sites (always using same extension (zip)) download starts immediately after clicking the link without showing the above dialog or asking where to save. On other sites IE6 has the above strange behavour.
Any ideas ?

I don't think there is an option there to disable this download check.
